Quality Ayrshires Sold At National Sale

The eighth National Ayrshire sale to be held at Borderway, Carlisle featured animals from many of the leading herds in UK, and included outstanding heifers in-milk, bulls and in-calf heifers.  Trade topped at 3,200 gns twice with £1447 average, slightly up on the year for an almost 100% clearance.   It is worth mentioning that the quality on offer was superb - heifers giving 30 kgs with amazing udders certainly looked tremendous value when compared with lesser quality animals sold in recent weeks.  Please click here to view the whole report.
