UK Dairy Day Information for Exhibitors

Cattle Entry 2021

Please find enclosed the UK Dairy Day cattle entry form. Cattle entries close on Friday 3rd September, please ensure that you have returned the form to the cattle office either by post or by email to [email protected] by this date. Copies of TB certificates and BVD results must also be sent to this email address before arrival at the venue.

Animals are welcome to arrive at any point from 3pm Sunday 12^th September until 8pm Tuesday - cattle will not be permitted to unload before 3pm on Sunday, and only once TB & BVD certificates have been received by the cattle office.

If you have not booked your accommodation yet, please do so as soon as possible as rooms will become limited. For a full list of hotels go to the accommodation page on www.ukdairyday.co.uk. If you quote ‘Cattle Rooms 2021’ to The International Hotel, Telford they will offer their discounted rate.

I am delighted to confirm that NWF Agriculture has once again kindly agreed to sponsor breakfast rolls for cattle exhibitors from Monday to Wednesday and complimentary hot drinks will be available in the cattle lines.

We are pleased to confirm that we have made an amend to the schedule to split the previously scheduled Red & White Classes, to allow for separate Red & White Holstein classes and Red & White Ayrshire Hybrid classes. 

I would also like to highlight the addition of item ‘q’ in the Unacceptable Practices section of the showing rules:-

q. Shaving or cutting the hair on the ribs, using the very fine blades of the trimming machines or cutters, such that the ribs appear scratched or bald, is forbidden.

Please be aware that animals that don’t adhere to this rule will not be allowed to show.
