2021 Ayrshire Cattle Society On Farm Challenge

Today we have our results of the 2nd & 3rd calver class in Our on Farm Challenge Competition. We congratulate our Winners
1st is Middle Jean CTHD by Cuthill Towers Highland Dream owned by Adam & Stuart Lindsay
2nd is Heydale Stella by Hunnington Mandella owned by D W Berresford & Son
3rd is Rosehill Vitality Pamela by Rosehill Vitality owned by WRC & JE Christophers
Klas Johansson's reasons for this class are as follows. In class number two I was presented with ten cows in second and third lactations, and as the winner of the class I chose Middle Jean, a lovely young cow with everything in the right places, dairyness from nose to tail and an exceptional udder, which is her main advance to my 2nd, Heydale Stella. This milky, powerful cow also has a perfect udder but it is her strength and width that makes me pick her over the youthful Rosehill Vitality Pamela, a balanced cow with a lot of potential and with a good udder and superb bone quality.
