Today has been a day to remember for Chris & Connie Creeper of Tristar Ayrshires.
Their star cow Gargus Jemima 3 has been awarded EX97 6E on her tenth birthday having just calved her 8th calf on the 5th of Jan 21 with a heifer by Changue Stadium
She is by Palmyra Tristar Reality out of a Bonnie Brae Heligo Dam and Bred by the late Michael Bilkey
On hand to award this was NBDC Head Classifier Myrig James, NBDC Senior Classifier Lynden Bustard, Gerraint Thomas Breed Heritage committee member and our Breed Manager Alan Timbrell
Myrig James said he had no hesitation of making this very youthfull and stylish 10 year old cow EX97 6E and this was also the unanimous feeling of the other panel members.
Jemima 3 has produced in her 7 completed lactations an average yield of 9000kgs at 4.4% fat & 3.1% pro
The scores she received were EX96 on Frame, EX96 on Body, EX97 on Mammary, EX97 for Rump & EX97 for Legs & Feet
