Marlbrook Herd Dispersal Catalogue available now
1st July 2019
The Marlbrook dispersal sale will take place on Wednesday 10th July at Holsworthy, Devon with Kivells as the auctioneers. There will be around 150 milking and dry cows but no youngstock.
The herd was founded in 1955 in Sussex and moved to Cornwall in 1966. It has expanded over the last 25 years with purchases from the following herds: Dilham, Romany, Tregonwell, Meikles, Eyton, Hilltown, Marlow, Tregays, Rosehill and Knutsford and a few cows from various sales! The bloodlines are therefore very wide. For the last decade they have been blended to Red Holstein but have tried to maintain 50% Ayrshire genetics. The result has been cows with great frames whilst still maintaining good fat and protein which is valuable for their Davidstow milk contract.
