Another impressive proof run for UK bred Ayrshires today. Flying high is Rosehill Manderville who gains a huge PLI £458, increases his production to +342kg +0.17% 25.7kg Bfat +0.04 14.4kg Ptn. With -14 SCC and positive fertility this Ardmore Crown Napier son out of a Rosehill Blackthorn dam leads the way in the UK.
Next up is the top UK bred type sire Hilltown Oblique. He has a PLI £349 +0.11% 17.5kg Bfat and is an improver on all health traits. His huge type merit of 2.3 is helped along by his great Legs and feet score of 2.1. Hilltown Oblique is a son of Jelyca Oblique out of Hilltown Snowball 466 EX94 5E LP60 2 Star brood cow who was sired by Meikle Laught Triple Crown.
Stamford High Definition continues his role as a health trait specialist. His huge PLI £336 and +8.6 fertility with -14 SCC make him a sound choice for breeding programmes. He is out of the Ballyclan First Command daughter Stamford Freda 15 EX90 2E LP80 1 Star brood cow and sired by Celandine First Lord and offers those outcross bloodlines.
New kid on the block is Troutbeck Skyfall straight in with a PLI £278.
