Announcing the ABAB Ayrshire calf show judge
Ian Collins
Ian Collins is from Dewsbury in Yorkshire and is a member of the Ayrshire Cattle Society of Great Britain and Ireland. Along with his family, Ian runs the famous 130 cow milking herd of Pedigree Dairy Shorthorns and Holsteins under the Churchroyd prefix. The Churchroyd herd show all over the UK and have had huge success over the years. One of Ian’s highlights has been winning the Supreme Dairy Champion at both Cheshire Show and the Great Yorkshire Show in 2016.
Ian has judged at shows all over the UK, as well as the Balmoral Show in Northern Ireland and has travelled to South Africa to judge their Royal Show. He is also a past winner of the National Young Farmers Stock judging competition. Ian is also an official judge for the Ayrshire Breed.
Ian’s appreciation for all Dairy Breeds is recognised by us all and the Ayrshire Cattle Society are thrilled that Ian has accepted the invitation to judge the Ayrshire calf classes at the 2018 ABAB Calf show. Ian very much looks forward to the opportunity to judge the Ayrshire classes at the largest calf show in the United Kingdom.
