Second Sale To Disperse The Ballygreggan Herd

The second sale to disperse the Ballygreggan pedigree Ayrshire herd owned by Mr A C Millar, Ballygreggan Farm, Campbelltown will take place on 20th April at Harrison & Hetherington, Carlisle and will comprise of 35 Ayrshires.  

There are 27 cows and heifers in-milk and 8 in-calf heifers. This is a special group of freshly calved milkers all giving large volumes of high quality milk.  The herd is currently av. 6572 kgs at 4.40% and 3.37%.  There are 3 Excellent, 5 Very Good and 10 Good Plus selling. Ballygreggan Cushie 10 is a super EX 92 pointed cow, and her special Poos Stadel Classic daughter sells which is due in May. The cows are sired by West Mossgiel Modern Class, Willsbro Red Razzle and Wisconsin Red, and the in-calf heifers are sired by Poos Stadel Classic and Barr Governor.  They are all BVD tested clear.  

The sale also includes fresh Ayrshire heifers from Cuthill Towers and 2 pure Ayrshire bulls and 2 Red & White bulls.
