News On The 2016 National Ayrshire Show

17th March 2016

The Society have received this new information on the 2016 National Ayrshire Show from the organising committee.

We are looking forward to welcoming the National Ayrshire Show at the National Dairy Show, where we offer the best showing facilities in the country.

Judging will take place on Wednesday 6 July, and once again we are offering both exhibitors and cattle a first class environment with

•    temperature controlled buildings
•    nearby wash down area
•    state of the art clipping area
•    water on tap in the stall lines
•    free show box lorry-to-stall drop off
•    an enviable international showcase; in 2015 we welcomed guests from 23 different countries
•    free stall places; a full refund will be made on the £50 entry fee on every stall occupied
•    prestigious silverware and prize money

We will be staging two more national dairy shows – for the Brown Swiss and the British Friesians, together with classes for Guernseys, Holsteins and Jerseys.

The National Charolais Show is returning together with the Aberdeen Angus Junior Championship and the South Devon Herd Book Society Performance Championship. The Lleyn Sheep Society will also be staging its third national competition.

Remember, you will have the chance to parade your entries to an anticipated audience of over 17,000 visitors by far the largest attending any UK agricultural event this year. The National Ayrshire Show is being staged at the best equipped and most easily accessed venue in the UK.

Finally, this year we are offering FREE VISITOR ENTRY: open doors to ALL farmers, their families and staff, farm contractors as well as vets, consultants and the supply trade.
