News From Cattle Services - Production Proof Leader Daughters Improve With Age

Daughters of one of the breed's production leaders STAMFORD FIRST QUALITY continue to mature and develop with each lactation. Examples of this are Stamford Charm 59 who was initially classified as a VG heifer and now in her sixth lactation has recently gone EX 95 (3) with an EX 96 Mammary AND she has already bred a VG 86 heifer by STAMFORD HENRIK.
Another daughter Stamford Charm 62 has developed into an EX 92 fourth calver alongside another eight first crop daughters who have matured into excellent cows.
According to breeder Steve Oultram, First Quality daughter are "always two to three litres above their herd mates" and "although they are not the tallest they are real trouble free easy care cows". He has had over 35 daughters in the Stamford herd and "has not lifted one foot to treat!".
His production proof continues to get better with pluses right across the board. With a PLI £241 and SCC score of -12 "First Quality" can offer easy care, farmer friendly daughters that improve with age.
