New appointment to the Breed Heritage Committee

We are delighted to announce that John Suffern has agreed to join the Breed Heritage committee. John is from Crumlin, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland, and is the breeder of the world-renowned Ravenhill herd of Ayrshires. Ravenhill Ayrshires consistently produces cows which achieve numerous production awards whilst breeding correct functional cows with outstanding type classification scores. John has a wealth of knowledge of the breed and its diversity and shows a particular focus on the commercial reality of the Ayrshire breed.
The Committee wish to express thanks to retiring member and past Chairman, Peter Drummond, for his enthusiasm, input, and time he has given to the Breed Heritage programme over the last 10 years, and to Rodney Armstrong who has cut his term short on the committee to concentrate on his role as Junior Vice President of the Society.
