Lord Winston Success Down Under
23rd September 2015
At the recent International Dairy Week (IDW), Australia a daughter of WROUGHTON LORD WINSTON EX 90, Woodburn Park Ginny shown by A C & D E Biffen, NSW, won the four year old class, and was awarded Honourable mention Senior Champion and Best Udder in Show. IDW is the premier dairy event in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere and the 2015 featured breed was the Ayrshire with 70 head exhibited. Judge Duncan Hunter commented on the fantastic show of Ayrshire cattle with Ginny being "a great young cow who we have not seen the best of yet!"
Lord Winston's dam, Wroughton Janet 2 EX 94(2) LP 60 (Celandine First Lord) and grand dam Wroughton Ruby 2 EX 94 (3) LP 80 (Mawdesley Bright Beam), pictured above are fantastic examples of what the Ayrshire breed is about and what the UK Ayshire has to offer the world. Production, longevity and type with super udders (Mammary score +1.6) and a natural willingness to milk are all attributes you can expect from Lord Winston.
